About Kelly

Kelly worked at WCCO-TV for nearly four years as the Public Relations Specialist, rising from Community Relations Event Coordinator. Her nonprofit leadership experience includes Marketing and Communications Director positions at Children’s Home Society & Family Services and at the Edina Chamber of Commerce. She began her career at the College of St. Catherine, where she worked in development.

Through these high-visibility positions, Kelly has managed more than 100 events ranging from galas, golf tournaments, luncheons, food expos and boat-safety exhibitions to networking breakfasts and professional development programs. This experience includes generating sponsorships and publicity.

Kelly’s communication experience ranges from crisis communications, media relations, and publicity to producing publications and collateral. Some notable projects include: strategizing and executing the publicity plan for the launch of Don Shelby’s radio show; serving as a local publicist to national CBS celebrities touring the Twin Cities; and producing WCCO-TV’s Hometown Headlines publication circulated to over 300,000 households. Her versatile written communication experience includes creating materials from releases and annual reports to publications and brochures.
